BIO

Growing up in Emory, Texas, Tyler was a self taught guitar player/singer/songwriter who started leading an Alt. Rock band known as The Novas at the age of 15 and played in the band until his last year in high school.  He was also very active in sports and received a full scholarship to play football at SMU in Dallas for four years.  Once there, after about a year out of finishing with The Novas, he joined The Clay Wilson Band and toured for the next five years as the lead guitar player and harmony singer.  After graduating with a B.A. of Economics from SMU and winning the 2009 Sheraton Hawaii Bowl, he took his talents and hit the musical road, once again as a frontman, with the same passion and work ethic he used to get him through his college years.

You can hear Tyler’s energetic guitar on his latest tune called "Back to Life" out now on all digital platforms. Tyler's past includes playing on the album "Desperate" by The Clay Wilson Band.  Tracks like Motion Sickness, Not Ok, and War show his creativity and excitement that he brings to live shows.  Tyler’s first project, Rock On , with his band Tyler and the Tribe earned “New and Noteworthy” and later, “What We’re Listening To” status on iTunes along with showing up on Pandora.  The 2013 album release of "BORN" shows his development as a musician and is his best effort yet at a full length album.  Once again pairing up with CJ Eiriksson in an attempt to take country music to the next step, Tyler has stretched the boundaries with his innovative guitar playing licks, songwriting, and singing as the leader of the band.

Tyler has played all over Texas, Nashville, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and more in venues such as House of Blues Chicago, House of Blues Dallas, The Cotillion, Trees, among many other fan-filled venues.

He also now owns his own studio, Bad Fellas Studio, and uses all of his equipment on the many albums he is now playing on as a producer, engineer, and player.  He takes the energy that his live show is known for and puts it into everything he does.

Whether it is recording, writing, or live shows, Tyler Jones pours his heart into every aspect of music, making him an attractive colleague because of his desirable music and his talent, which is always growing.
